Judge us on what we get done.

I am in politics to make things happen. The things I am most proud of are the things the Jacqui Lambie Network had to fight for. Here’s a few.

Forced the PM to give diggers a pay rise

We used the balance of power to campaign in and outside the Senate between November 2014 to March 2015, until the Abbott Government finally agreed to offer our diggers a pay rise.

Fully wiped Tasmania's housing debt

We managed to secure over $200 million in debt relief for Tasmanians, nearly doubling our investment in homelessness and public housing.

Won a Victoria Cross for naval hero Teddy Sheean

When the Prime Minister announced he was going to ignore a recommendation to award Tasmania's Edward 'Teddy' Sheean a Victoria Cross for his sacrifice to save his crew of the HMAS Armidale in World War II, we campaigned in the Parliament, in the media and in the community to force him to back down.

We took our radio ads forcing marginal seat MPs in Tasmania to stand up to the Prime Minister. My speeches in the Senate were watched by more than 1.2 million people online. And we organised a 10,000-person strong petition of Tasmanians to make the issue front and centre for the Prime Minister.

And he buckled. And we won. And now, Teddy has his Victoria Cross.

Stopped big bank financial planners ripping off clients

We used the balance of power to end shady deals where you pay a financial planner to help you find the best product for you, unaware they’re being paid by a bank to sell their products too.

Protected $8 billion in renewable investments

We blocked the Abbott Government from axing the Clean Energy Finance Corporation in 2014. Since I helped save it, the CEFC has committed a further $7.9 billion investment in renewables: bringing down costs and lowering emissions.

Won a Royal Commission into Veteran Suicide

In my first speech as a Senator, I called for a Royal Commission into the way veterans are dying, by their own hand, at a rate of one a week. And nobody was listening. But I didn't take no for an answer.

We took out full-page newspaper ads and organised open letters with Defence experts. I ran social media advertising featuring parents of veterans who'd died from suicide, as well as legal experts calling for a Royal Commission. We organised protests, petitions, bombarded MPs with tens of thousands of emails from their local voters and we chased down the votes of Members of Parliament, one by one.

It took seven years, but in April 2021, what started in 2014 with me as the single vote in favour of a Royal Commission into veteran suicides turned into every single Member of Parliament voting to support me.

I need your help! There is an election on.

I'm fighting to elect a second Senator in Tasmania. Her name is Tammy Tyrrell and with her by my side, I'll be able to fight even harder for the people who need a fighter in their corner.
